I am planning on installing an epxoy floor coating and was wondering if these are affected by welding slag?

In a word, most likely. Weld slag is hot coming down, which will melt most expoxy coatings. My line-x spots when hot weld slag hits it. Only place that's happened so far is the floor where the slag has a chance to sit and melt a small hole until it cools off.
