EQUAL in tires

What about regular old BB's for a BB gun? would they work too?

Yes they do. Here is a good rule of thumb for BB's;

35" and smaller - 1 shot glass full of BB's
36" and bigger - 2 shot glasses full of BB's

Once you go above 40" tires, you may need 3 shot glasses full, but if you're that big, balancing is all relative anyway. :wink1:

I've heard that shot glass measurements before, pretty sure it came from a drinking party... :D

Like mentioned above, if your going to use BBs use the amount determined by the ceramic bead company.

I don't think bbs are as tough as a ceramic bb, they may dent, chip or who knows. Are they really cheaper than using the product developed for tires? I checked for my 36 inch tiers and it's $10.80 per tire plus shipping! That's going to come out to about $2. more than a tire shop would charge, but these will not get knocked off and never need re-balencing...

Just a word of warning. I tried the airsoft bbs ( I play airsoft alot ) went by the measurements on the website previously listed. it didnt work worth $hit!! I might be spoiled by being able to balance my own tires ( I own an auto repair shop ) but it did not work very well and everytime you stopped you heard the bbs fall from the top to bottom of the tire.

They weren't drinking parties. They were "Product Development Meetings" :D

Cool link.

I like regular BB's because they are very cheap and, they really don't deform. I have ran them for a long time w/out any issues. The shot glass basically holds the right amount of BB's in weight (ounces), so it makes it an easy deal rather than having to use a food weight scale or something else.

Yes, you will hear a swishing noise when you come to a stop, but you get used to it after awhile. :wink1:

I do't know what the "Dyna Beads", but you can go to Walmart and get a box of "air soft pellets". They are the same thing. Use this chart to know how many http://www.innovativebalancing.com/BigTirechart.htm

"Dyna Beads" is what they call their product. They look about the same as the air soft bb's, but for the price, why not get one that has been tested and backed by a company.
