I've used it before on a couple vehicles with great success. I decided to put it in the wife's tires in her Yukon. I took off about about an ounce and a half of lead weights on three of the tires and about three and a half ounces on the fourth one. Anyway, I put the four ounce packets in and its all good except a shimmy around 70-80 MPH. I'm thinking that that one tire might need a little more equal in it since I took off more lead (and I rotated the tire from the rear to the front, which I think it could more noticeable). So, my question...is it worth a try to add more equal to the one tire?

Simple answer, Yes. You can put in 2x's the called for amount and it wont hurt anything. I'm running 20oz's in my 44's, they recommend 12oz's, and no side effects. Just remember that if they are out of balance side to side that balancing beads aren't always successful.
