errr... ran out of fuel bein dumb... now i cant start it

i was low on fuel and then i flexed my rig out and the fuel sloshed to the side and it starved the engine... nice work me.... went out and got 5gal diesel and put it in... wont start still after many attempts... ive been pumping the gas tons and then cranking it for 20sec or so then letting it sit for 3-4 min per advice of a mechanic friend

wtf cant i get it to start???

When I bought my diesel truck back in '99, my buddy's dad told me, "Do not let the truck run out of diesel, diesels don't like it when it runs out of fuel!" So I always kept at least a 1/3 or more in the tank.

thats what i was told so i never risk it, with the 350 tho im quite the risk taker
