Spending a week in Estes Park. Can anyone tell me where some good 'wheeling spots are? Oh, BTW, finally got my new "Blazer"! Yes, I do hold a grudge that GM changed the full size to Tahoe, so I'm thinking of just calling my 'new' '04 Tahoe a Blazer. What do you think? Should I put a K5 emblem on the tailgate? You can see my inspiration for the choice of Silver. That's my Dad's 3rd Blazer....he bought it new in '73.

Bunce School Road, Middle St. Vrain and Coney Flats are pretty close to the Estes Park area. There is a lot of stuff up that way so checking on Traildamage like Luke said is a good idea. If you look for stuff in Boulder County that's close to where you'll be staying ;)
You could always post this over in the Rocky Mountain Region if you want some more input.

Most of the stuff is going to be closed due to snow. They got some today, and more expected Thursday. You might be able to do a trail called Storm Mountain.

What day will you be arriving? We were planning to take a drive up there this Saturday the 17th.

There's plenty of horseback riding placed in the Estes. Well, I know there is 2 anyway. Not going to be any rafting this time of the year - too cold! Not sure about the ATVs. Unfortunately you're coming a little early in the season, so everything won't be in full swing. Especially since they're still getting snow up in the higher elevations.

I bet there will be plenty of rafting even though its cold. Rafting started a couple weeks ago in Durango and the river is still hella cold. But I am sure you can find the companies online and call and make reservations. Should be good rafting too.
