Driving around today, surprised to see a big gas station right by my house now has 2 pumps that are Ethanol free … big sign on them.

I guessing for our old Chevy V8’s this Ethanol free gas would be better correct ?

Not sure how much is costs or if they offer different grades ( didn't pull in there to check)

Its better for everything, some will argue though.

There was another thread about this not too long ago.

wow.. it's not cheap. I just topped off the K5 with it. 4.25 a gal - 89 oct. compaired to 3.71 for the normal 89 oct

Where are in Florida?

On a side note;

I just upgraded all my rubber fuel lines to E10 Resistant Marine Grade Fuel lines I picked up at West Marine, its made by Shields.

I also upgrade the power valve on my Holley, its suppose to have better rubber to fight against effects of E10.

I found a station that carries it on the way to go 4 wheeling so I put some in my Dodge Saturday. It was $3.87/gallon which was only 5 cents more than the ethanol blend. Unfortunately the station is about a half hour out of my way to and from work so I cant strictly use that unless I stock up and store some at home.

Funny all you guys want ethanol free. I would like it for when I get the crew cab done but for now I wish we had alot more e-85 stations so I could drop the supercharger pulley on my Pontiac :D:D

E10 resistant is sorta BS. I think most standard rubber lines hold up fine to e10...hence it being used in all pumps.

I'm not opposed to E10 in trucks, but would prefer no mix on boat gas....

e85 is like sterioids for Boosted engines.
It's right at 105 octane plus the evaporative cooling of alcohol
You have to increase the amount consumed, but you are able to get good high reliable power. Able to run higher boost, more timing ect.

I'd love to find a station here in the Denver Metro that sells booze free gas; my vehicles show a 7% decrease in fuel mileage across the board when using E10.

Ethanol is garbage.

What Chris said, I currently need a host of supporting mods to drop my supercharger pulley to a 3.4. If you don't you will freak the computer out and get tons of detonation. The reliability of the engine will be severely compromised at best, if you drop your pulley size without supporting mods. e-85 with its octane rating prevents that. Meaning with supporting mods I could drop my pulley to a 3.2. There are guys out there making 350 hp out of these little supercharged 3.8s with headers a good tune and a couple other small mods on E-85 because you can add alot of boost
