ha, as the weather starts to get nicer I keep drooling at the idea of a rig I can drive on the street, cruise around town on a saturday night and hit the trails hard on sunday morning... Eh just a thought, I have the S10 to finish this is just a little pipe dream thing I have cooking in my head for now. Something that sits a good bit up, not fender hacked and 2" of lift.

thats what most of us start with:D. once that first dent happens its just a downward spiral of prgression...lol:rolleyes:

I did and I get called a mall crawler, eh, go figure.

But there is a differance, he said wheel on the weekend. You will never go wheeling. So hence the mall crawler, can you pick me up some shoes from the mall? :)

I'm saying, wheel it hard, not be nice and get it muddy once in a while. I doubt it would last one year before it would have to be redone because the body would be destroyed... Really my thought is sort of, something like Ryan's rig, just newer

you did have the word SHOW in your title  :D

quite so, cruising local car shows, bloomsburg 4x4 nationals, carlisle all truck... not to say it would be something EVERYONE would find show worthy ;)

Thank you sir, that is the truth right there

 thats what i am doing.......

you've seen my rig, wheeled it some of last summer and the fall........nothing extreme but not afraid to dent a quarter or blow some side glass out through driver stupidity:rolleyes:

gets parked in the winter to avoid the salt
and gets some tree lube (coat of wax) in the spring

can be done , you just have to temper the stupid pedal;)

I built mine for both. I've taken it out and beat on it but I guess mine is still more towards everyones def. of the mall crawler (only cause I wanna keep it nice). Its my daily driver at the moment. So I cant just thrash it.

The other thing is when people I hang out with have rides like this:

Then whats the point of trashing a nice *almost body damage-free burb?

Chrome don't get you home..... I'd rather have a more capable 4by and a separate show/cruising rig.

Here's my weekend cruiser- T-topped 99 Z28 6 Spd.

I don't have to worry about scratching it up on the trail and I don't have to skimp on the wheelability of my 4x4 to keep it looking in car-show condition

Mike

I got my show truck 71 C20
gonna have my race truck if the 86 C10 ever gets a tranny in it then start playin with the motor in it
the GMC will do all its just in to good of shape to trash the crap out of it wheeling
the blazer eh... i do whatever with it get it dirty scratched etc. no dents yet but two busted mirror so far(expensive bastards too)

Mine was going to be for both, but after it got totally trashed wheeling, and I started restoring, i didnt want to beat on it anymore, plus its a first gen, secong gen, maybe, but not a first gen!:wink1:

I bought mine with the intention of it being a daily driver weekend wheeler but after getting it home that changed. The thing was hacked together so i started ripping it apart so i dont kill someone out on the road. :eek1: I almost got it to road worthy condition, needs to be done this weekend but it prolly wont get done till a few more weeks.

Alan remember when you almost had one of those! Just needed 6" front springs and rear shackle flip and maybe that 383 you never get finished building!

That's what I'm aiming towards. I don't know about the "show truck" part, but I'd like it to stay street legal to cruise in it. My paint is nearly flawless and my body has 2 small rust spots. No dents or body damage of any kind. I went on a small "Jeep trail" about 2 days ago with it and scratched the paint all to hell. I'm sure I'll end up getting body damage, and I'll probably whine and cry about it for a couple days, then just go on with tearing it up!

I DD mine and I wheel it. Sometimes if the family is going out, we take the Blazer just because of the way it looks. I can't wait untill the first time I have it valet parked. It will be in the summer, at night, at a fancy place with the top off. We will be dressed real nice and I will help my wife climb down the exocage.
I really find that amusing. The valet guys will be like "WTF,I can't drive that thing."

that is basically the plan for my truck, the only body mod i've done is cut my front fenders back, and it looks great cuz it was done well. I have no problem turning around on a trail if im goign to wreck my body, i put way to many hours into rebuilding the floor and everything to make it look this great.

This is what I do.

I have my summer driver/nice truck and my DD/weekend warrior which is soon to get 3/4 tons, lift and some tires. Its still fun on 31's though.

I know they are crappy pictures but its all I got here at work.
