Ok, quick rundown I have a K5 with a D60 with a Spartan locker and crossover steering. I just installed a new ps pump, 2wd box, hydro assist ram, I bleed the system per Howes directions. All is good with just one tire or when both front tires are off the ground , no foaming and quiet. When I put the truck on the ground I have no steering it acts if the system is fighting itself. With or without the ram connected and if I shut the truck off sitting in my gravel driveway I'm sitll unable toe steer it. With the crossover steering do I need a dropped drag link? I have a drop pitman arm but the drag link is straight. I'm only running 37x12.50's with 4" springs and zero rates. I'm totally lost I have been fighting this for a year and just started from square one with all new parts.

Thanks,

What is the story on the steering box? Where did it come from? Did you tap it yourself?

Have you tried capping off the hydro assit lines at the box & seeing if the steering works without the ram?

Fyi, per his post on Pirate the p/s pump has been mod'd by drilling out the orifice also. I questioned if it was drilled out too much and killed the pressure.

Well it appears my problem may be resolved. I installed the stock orifice valve back in the pump and it appears to be working fine. I’ll drive it later today to verify all is well. Now all I need to do is buy a ported hydro-boost so I can hook my brakes back up. Thanks for all the input.
