Everybody going to the CA CK5 Blazer-Fest

When you get there you have to got to the main gate.(there are about 5 or 6 gates) The main gate is clearly marked. Tell the Ranger you are there for the Blazer-Fest. And you are at Campground 5. It is reserved. And ask for a map. They don't give them out unless you ask. You will turn around and go back south about a half mile and see a gate and a sign group 5 camping. The gate is usually locked and when you sign in they give you the combination. I am going to try and see if they will let us keep it open. The park closes at dark. So if you get there after dark and that gate is locked start honking and one of use will come and open it up. I will be there Friday at around 8:00 am but I will be in and out. Getting stuff. Everybody come and see me for a ticket for the raffle. I just got some more stuff in today. I have a light blue 86 blazer and will have a tan pop tent trailer.Also Steph (CAChevyGal) is going to do the trip report so we need to get everybody's information. I would like for everybody to try and meet back at the campground on sat. at around 8:00 pm so we can get a group picture of everybodys Blazer/Jimmy. And then raffle off this stuff. It might be alittle hot down here. let's have some fun.......Dan

Sounds good to me!!!!!!!!!! I got the 14 FF in today and have just a few minor things to finish like a leaking brake line and a couple of other things. My son and I will be heading out sometime Friday morning from Livermore. How did the Pre-Run turn out? Sorry I couldn't make it but didn't have the new rearend in yet.

I didn't even go. I had to many things going on and nobody else seemed to be able to make it. I was going to bring a gokart out for the all the kids. But they said it as to have a spark arrester on it. I don't have one and I don't even now how I would put one on it.....Maybe I could figure something out for next year......Dan

There is nothing at the I-5 AND 152 intersection.It is all farm land there. You can't miss each othere there. Just fallow 152 into downtown Hollister and go all the way threw main st. at the end of main st. You will see the high school go st threw and go up about a mile to union rd.turn right and go just past the bridge and turn left.On cienaga rd.(sp) I believe there are signs around there. Then it is in about 11 miles on cienaga. CB'S won't work to well up there. But I will turn mine on.....Dan

I was thinking we could meet just passed the on ramp to the 152.Theres nothing right there but the interchange.A ways up after ya get on the 152 are some turn outs but there close to the bottom of that BIG hill and when you stop there it takes a while to get up to speed again.All thats left for me to do is to run around under my truck and make sure every things tight ,grease the u joints,and hammer the lips on my wheels out so I can get them balanced.I bent up my rims and knocked off some weights on some rocks on Sun. Hehehe!!!!!!! I cant wait!!!

OK right pass the on ramp to 152 ,on 152 sounds good to me.
Ya I think my rig is just about ready. I probly should replace the gear oil in the rear cuz of the new R&P set. I only have about 50 miles on the rear and mabie 15 on the front so.......

Yep I gots yer cell # and 9am is cool.I will probably get there earlier cuz Ill be all gitty and wont be able to sleep and I will take off early.I dont know the names of the roads but once I get to Hollister I go down Main for a ways and hang a right.After making a right ,it goes thru a residential area and heads out of Hollister.Ya pass a wrecking yard on the right right before ya go over a bridge and then ya come to a T intersection and make a left.Go a short ways after that and thers a stop light and signs for Hollister Hills ORV area and ya take a left.Is this the way you were talking about Dan?

man i'm stoked about this trip. i'm already up here in CA. man the drive up here sucked with 4.56 gears and 32inch tires.i'll try and be there fri afternoon. depends on wether or not my dad feels up to it or not. if not sat morning.

I went and found a map.The way I was talking about was taking 4th st to the 156 and the 156 to union rd.Thats the long way I see now .
