I want to know why the Fu** can't anyone make me a pitman arm that is broached for a 4wd box. These crossover 2wd arms must be an application for another vehicle. If it was specific to crossover setups, why didn't they just broach it for a 4wd box. All this talk of custom parts....
There has been a need for this for over 30 years now.....

As long as there is a cheap alternative ie the 2wd box no one will do a 4wd crossover steering pitman arm
I wouldn't want to swap in a junkyard gearbox of unknown condition so i would swap in a new/rebuilt unit. Just for the hell of it I looked up the cost of one from Napa. $160 plus a $109 core. Technically, you shouldn't be sending your 4wd box back as a core for a 2wd box (kind of a shitty thing to do, but I bet people do it). So that's $269 to get the correct box and then purchase the 2wd dropped pitman arm for another ~$60 bringing you to $329 for a box and arm for crossover steer. If somebody can make a conversion dropped arm for a 4wd box for less than that, I bet they would sell

I gotta say Issaam, I still don't understand why we don't have this arm.

But again, to play both sides of the field, I picked up my rebuilt box from a swap meet for $100. So I guess I'm in for under $200. Luckily, that's swap meet rebuilt box has been trouble free for 8 years now.

I got a few free ones and they work fine and I parted a few trucks that I got cheap and made money parting them and ended up with the 2wd boxes
