Any opinions or experiences with using the Exhaust Ball and Socket flange system?

I have read that a loss of about 25 hp from using them.

I want to use it to make removing parts of the exhaust system to get better access to areas that I may need to work on.

Thank you,
Ed

Well not sure about loosing 25 Hp unless you undersized the pipe.

V band is also an option

There's no way. It should be a 3" collector. I run the same on my high hp 406ci and there is no way that design restricts any HP.

Here's what mine looks like. Full 3". I will bet money it has no effect on dyno

the shorty header flanges on my 350 vortec are exactly that flange in 3 inch...wouldn't seem to make any sense to bolt on headers for a 25hp loss...
