ok. So I have a friend who is a top notch exhaust guy who makes exhaust systems for lots of other companies, SEMA stuff, high end cars, etc. I am getting an exhaust for the K5. What do I want? :D I am sticking with my stock manifolds for smog reasons and since the gains with headers seem to be mostly all up top and being I have a stock motor, meh. Also I want to be able to drive with the back window down without getting sleepy!

I was thinking:

Duals out with high flow cats and having it dump out through a hole cut in the 1/4 panel infront of the rear tires to keep it up out of the way. Down sides I see are IF I ever decide to clock the T-Case, I would have to have him do it again. If I put it out infront of the rear tire through the 1/4 panel, I may run into an issue with mounting sliders later. Also worried about having true duals and smog here in Kalifornia ......

OR a y pipe, routed up high in front of the pan flanged for removal, single high flow cat, out the 1/4 panel in front of the rear tire, or out behind the tire. Downside, won't sound as good as duals. Positive side, half of an exhaust less to damage.

I want to get a cut out or pipe I can uncap and have basically uncorked exhaust for the dunes also..........

IMO I would do a single 3" out the drivers side and clear the t-case. I used to have dual 2.5"s and with my clocked up doubler it was a tight squeeze.

Single 3". Better low end, less pipe, less work, less clutter.
