Exhaust-Flowmaster Super 44 extreme off road mufflers

Curious if anyone out there has ran the Flowmaster Super 44 extreme off road mufflers. Just picked up a pair off Ebay. Curious why Flowmaster discontinued them. Sounds like a good idea. Maybe people are concerned about the weight or loss of sound from the thick gauge steel???

Thoughts?

when a manufacturer discontinues something its usually low sales numbers, or high production costs

The regular flowmaster case is plenty stout and if thats the only real difference. I can see why they dropped it.


I have 2 friends that have the 44 muffs on inline 6's, and they sound ok.

Yeup, case is a thicker gauge metal, that's the only difference. We never sold any, very low demand.
