Putting together an order of parts to hang some exhaust on the K5, and I'm wondering for anyone that does their own exhaust, what style do you prefer for hangers?

This style seems to be what most of the OEM's are using anymore http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-36516 and what I'm leaning towards...they seem to be a good design. Any reasons not to go with these?

I'm not a real big fan of the multi-holed "strap" hangers that look like overgrown plumbers tape. The rod-style hangers look like they'd be pretty versatile, which will make hanging it easier.

The coolest exhaust hangers I saw were ones a co-worker made out of old connecting rods...he found some that fit the pipe perfectly, and used rubber fuel line in the wrist pin hole for the mount...you wont find a stronger or neater looking hanger than that..:D

Once he took his car to a cruise night,it wasn't long before a lot of rat rodders copy catted his idea, and they starting showing up on many creations..

That's pretty cool, definitely not going to have those come apart on you. :) Don't think I need QUITE that strength though.

Now that the engine/trans are poly mounted, they don't move much, so I'm hoping the hangers don't have to do a lot of work.
