Anyone have a favorite brand for exhaust manifold gaskets? I pulled my manifold off and the gaskets seem fine, but I figured I'd replace them anyhow. I think the problem might have been the couple of bolts not tightened down very well. Have I read in the past of these bolts working loose? Or is that my imagination. If so, should I put something on them to keep from working loose? Sorry for the noob questions, but I am what I am. lol

Hey doc, I just put manifold gaskets on my truck a couple days ago. Got Fel-Pro's from Autozone. I think as far as gaskets go, you can't go wrong with Fel-Pro's.

If there's anything ya need help with, don't hesitate to ask. Besides, I need ya to adjust my back again sometime soon. :D

Fel-Pro gaskets are the best IMHO. As for what to use to keep the bolts from loosening, use star washers and NOT lock washers. I would suggest replacing all the bolts and using the star washers and having the exhaust manifolds resurfaced.

It's funny you should bring this up.... ;-) I'll PM you.

To everyone else who responded, thanks much I appreciate your help.

I'm not sure who's trick this is but if you put red rtv on the gaskets and you won't have to worry about it leaking for a long time... read it on this site and went out and did it and it worked great.
