How is everyone running their exhaust? My exhaust is a cobbled up mess. My y pipe is a 1/8 inch below my front drive shaft . I just need a couple pics to show my muffler shop to get an idea of what I need. Is there any bolt on y pipes that work good?

Yep stock 350 tbi manifolds . I'm not opposed to headers.

I was just looking for the pics of the stainless exhaust (particularly the Y-pipe) that someone created on here, but I'm thinking maybe the links broke.

I've got headers, I was able to run the 2.5" pipe from passenger side to drivers side between the bellhousing and trans body. Stock height, no issues with the front driveshaft.

The auto trans might be a bit different in regards to space for the pipe between the trans pan and bellhousing, but if not, that's about the only place I could see making the crossover, otherwise you'd have to go way back...that won't work for a cat, and would somewhat negate the point of single exhaust.

No need for a Y pipe, true duals are where its at.

If you go dual, at the very least run an H pipe, the best would be an X pipe but that's not always manageable. Also, if you plan to clock your transfercase, it's a lot easier without that second pipe running down the passenger side.

Check out K85Octanes exhaust....

Wow, thanks. Let me see.....
Can't remember, either 2.25" or 2.5" into 3" and out

Mine is very similar to K85 Octane's set up. This works great for accessibility under the truck. My old truck ran duals and the right side pipe was always in the way of work. Now I've got everything high and tight on the left side, all out of the way.

(I should have painted mine black like that, makes it look really nice and clean)

When i was keeping the 350 I found a crossover pipe from Walker exhaust, I decided to go 454 before I was able to test the clearance with the transfer case but it did line up good with the manifolds etc. Here is a link to the one i used, they list several different ones in case you decide to go that route. I actually got my headers and y pipe all ceramic coated black after it was fitted :) It's kinda purple now and I had to redo the very front of it due to oil pan change. It's completely out of the way and 100% above the frame.

Are you running long or short headers?
I want to run a single exhaust but I think I might have to go back to manifolds or short tube headers to do it.

I'm running the Hedman 62230's, did not have any issue running the passenger side under the bellhousing. Could not have done it with the headers that are "recommended" by Hedman for these trucks. They aren't long tubes, but they aren't shorties either IMO.

Here's the two of them stacked

I'm running Sanderson shorty headers. Arguably no better than manifolds but I HATE manifolds because they're ugly and the collector studs are always breaking. It's a personal issue I have. :D

I run duals, but now that I have decided to run a traction bar, not enough room. Just something to think about
