Exhaust question

i am planning to rig up a new exhaust system for my 80 k5. it does not have to go through emisions now so i can do anything i want. i am going to run the tips to come out in front of the rear tires. i am looking for a pretty agressive sound that is pretty raspy and loud. what are you guys running for mufflers to get this sound. and i also was wondering if anybody runs just cats and no mufflers. if you dod what does that sound like.

Flowmaster 40s. Google their site and their are sound files for most engines. They are very agressive sounding and pretty bulletproof for occasional scrapes and bangs.

i have been looking at the 40's but they are alittle on the pricey side. but they are one of my options

you can get dynomax turbo mufflers for half the price and change them twice as often or pay for the Flowmasters and be done in my experience. I run flow 40s on everything now but ran the Dynos on the jeep until two years ago. 25$ a pc is nice but they are real thin and get beat up fast.
