anyone have any ideas on a quick fix for the gasket/seal from the manifold to the factory y-pipe? i know for a fact if i try to take this on tomorrow, the bolts will break off completely....the are rusted beyond repair. c-clamps? exhaust wrap?

the problem seems to be where the two pipes meet...

what is a quick fix to quiet this thing down for a few days? a few long drives are ahead for me and its driving me crazy!

yeah thanks. no welder here. any other ideas? or is welding my only solution

If the studs break of, and you can't screw them out. I've had good luck with cutting them flush with the manifold, drilling them out and running a regular bolt. Kind of a pain to do with the manifold still on the motor, but it can be done.

I don't think you're really going to find a quick fix for this problem. A new doughnut gasket is going to be the best/only way to really fix it.
