What do you recommend for exhaust on a k5? I need new pipes. I would like to go with a prebuilt stainless dual if that is available.

In my opinion you are better off doing your own. Check out Summit Racing for some tubing and also check out their bent pieces. You can make your own exhaust that will fit perfectly to your rig and you can tune the sound to your liking. If your motor is still stock I would look into a 2" system or maybe 2 1/4" max. For mufflers I like the Dyno Max bullet mufflers but, it maybe too loud for your liking. Check out youtube and search for different exhaust mufflers until you find one you do like the sound of.

LT.

I put a dynomax header back exhaust kit on my k20, the fit was great and the price was reasonable too. But its only alumized pipe though.

do yu have some image about your work?

Used the kit to the mufflers, than different tailpipes ........

Fit wise it was pretty decent, ended up using the supplied tail pipes on my old mans C20. They fit like a glove on it.

Any decent exhaust shops around you?

A lot of times people find a local shop that knows it's **** and who does work cheap enough that it's no advantage to buy a kit and slap it together themselves.

That said I have lived in an area before where I COULD NOT find an exhaust shop that had a clue and did most of my own exhaust work...for better and worse.
