I’ve been looking at this exhaust every time I walk by the truck since I bought it a few months ago and it just doesn’t look right. The last one I had wasn’t hanging down this low and I don’t think it was underneath the drive shaft. Feel like this should run up close to the body right?

Looks factoryish. My 89 sub had a similar setup. Isn't the pipe supposed to go under the notch in the crossmember though?

Not really a problem, more just curious. Never had a TBI before and wasn't sure if that was stock or not. I was just thinking that it seemed lower than it should be, ready to get it self hung up on something. I could have sworn that the 85 I had many moons ago didnt' have that hanging there (6.2 though). The only picture I have of it isn't the right angle but I randomly found a picture of another member's TBI and its exactly the same, just with a t-case skid plate.

Maybe I'll run it up higher if I ever change the muffler or go duals.

Looks like how my suburban was (i assumed it was stock) and the blazer was similar.

i think the "notch" is just how they got the correct height for the transmission mount? Ive never seen a pipe run below that.

I dont have any pics handy to post, might be a few shots in my build thread showing how i rerouted higher.
