So my exhaust is routed under the truck and basically dumps at the beginning of the gastank. is there a way to mount exhaust without it coming back into the rear of the truck when the back windows down or the top is off? I mainly worry about the little guy. the less fumes the better. I have a cat on it now so that helps a little but I might ditch that soon(no more smog) so I was seeking another alternative.

Dumping it out the side/back has worked better for me. Straight out the back was the worst because of the fumes.

Same here. Out back its pretty potent but when it had side pipes it was just fine. Ill likely go through the rear fender before the tire for the next revision. When i had the side pipes i collapsed them coming off a rock so its give and take.

Out the side. I have had several blazers and some other convertibles out the side at not quite the rear of the truck

Spoiler helps a bit when moving, making sure side windows are down when rear window is down, and of course the stock side exits are good for that.

Making sure it's tuned right will help immensely.

Has anyone been able to exit before the rear tire without having some crazy bends? I'm all for looks but I will not compromise the performance for it. I love side exit pipes my 72 had the before the tire but the Blazers frame is lower should I not worry about it so much?

Thats probably what ill do next. As far as I can see no one makes a kit. I took a picture of a old ford that had fender exit exhaust, ill have to dig that up but it was very simple. It was like a 45 degree pipe that went through the frame where it hips before the rear axle. I think it could get stinky if you were idling a while but other than that I think it would work great.
