hey there, im looking for a little piece that is in the shape of a Y that goes on the exhaust so that you can run full exhuast or just headers, depending on which one is open. where can i get them?

im getting ready to do my new exhaust, and wanna be able to run jus headers off-road or when i feel like being heard. thanks

bingo. anybody have any experience with these?

man, wish they sold the cable ones for 3", then when i get pulled over i can play dumb. hehe

IIRC, they must be brazed onto the exhaust system. Oh yeah, and prepare to get high if they are right under your cab. I used to run straight headers on my '66 and I swear all that Carbon Monoxide damaged my brain

Not direct experience, but from those that have, they tend to seize up. Makes sense, doesn't take much time for exhaust components to start rusting up.

DONT USE CABLE ONES!!!! they leak, rattle, and all around suck. I just put on a set of duel DMH and I love them. I have no leaks and when they are open the fumes arnt bad. Plus there is nothing cooler than opening them up at a stop light!
Check them out

oh my god i need these on my truck how much am i looking at and would a shop do the work? it would be on my 89 blazer that i want duels with my heddman hedders and a 2.5 inch pipe

a set like mine was around 4 hundred. There are cheaper ones but they tend to leak. Its alot of money but well worth it. (400 bucks or your 1 christmas present for the year!) I had my local shop weld them in. I did all the electronics my self it was very easy. Check out summit racing for DMH exhaust cut outs. Expect around 400 for the duel cut outs w/ the dump pipes that need to be welded in. I have a video if I can figure out how to send it???????? Keep in mind this is not for horsepower. Unless you have a high compression engine these will not help hp because of the back pressure needed at low end range. However its loud and cool as hell!

they had that on projct copper top from the tv show trucks. Very nice but expensive
