Where/how does everyone have their exhaust coming out? I have a couple chrome tips I'm thinking of using (although don't like big chrome tips much... so will kinda hide them under the truck) and am thinking of shooting it out at a 30 or 45 degree angle... otherwise just a straight 90 degree out the side. Don't want it straight out the back because I like to have the back window down. Anyone have some pics of theirs?

Mine come out at not quite 90 degrees - here's a pic that shows one side fairly well pugsley.alloffroad.com

Mine comes out in front of the drivers side tire.

Nothing wrong with a touch of class! Besides, K5's are God-like vehicles that should be meticulously overmaintained as a labor of love!

Sure. If the rest of the vehicle is well-maintained and looks good (not too flashy), an appropriate-sized tip (or tips) is kinda like a finishing touch. My opinion; yours may vary...

On a lighter note, did you know a 5" exhaust tip is worth 10hp and 25 cool-points??

Muhahahaha!

Even more when combined with the optional racing stripe!

HeHe. Okay, before somebody gets pissed, let me say it's okay if you want tips, I just don't particularly care for them.

OK How's this? The chrome tip provides a smoother surface facilitating easier removal of mud, road tar, cat parts, etc.

(joking about the cat parts)

On a trail rig, my choice is 1 (or 2) pipes exiting just behind the rear tire at a 90, w/out tips. Seems to be the best place for crush resistance. I have a single 3" on the pass. side.

Hey, I have to reply to this one. In high school, I had a couple of friends die from afficiation (spelling) due to jeep being stuck in mud, temp about 22 degrees, dual exhuast (no cross-over) exiting to rear, and 10 miles from anything. Being young and dumb they decided to walk-out in morning (they went out by themselves) and ran the jeep for heater. Needless to say, their bodies were found next day. My point to this is that from their mistake, I learned to run a dual exhaust with crossover, exiting opposite sides of rear of truck. Doesn't look cool, but I figure better chance of survival. Just my 2 cents worth.

If you ain't hurt, you ain't playin' hard enough.

flows turned down at axle is the only way to go .i dont need to stinking tailpipes! even if ya need tailpipes you can kinda hide em so ya dont have to see em.

You have to look pretty close, but you can still see the exhaust pipe. Look straight down from the filler cap. I like how high it is.

Chevy good...Ford bad

Exhaust Tips ? I Dont Even Have Tailpipes For The Tips To Go On. Got Headers And Flows Turned Down Before The Axles.

A Big Hammer Can Fix Anything ..

Thanks for the pics and comments everyone... think I'm gonna try and go at that kinda 30 degree angle like Pug's rig... man that paint scheme is just the coolest. I say that everytime I see a pic of it.

Well RD I got em for free so what the heck. I'm not a huge fan of them, but on a nice truck they can look great. I just hate when they stick out... then poeple can read "Folger's" on the side

What type pf Flows(2-Chamber,3-Chamber) and what type of headers? Mine has AC and all the local stores say its the same header but Ive seen them advertised W/AC and WO/AC. Plus how does it sound? I had true duals and turndowns after Flows on my 95 Ram(360) 38s. I didnt have headers but it had a lot of burbling(?) when I went full throttle and let off is it the same with the headers? Almost like back firing.
