Exhaust

What if you want it quiet?
My setup is going to be; Headers->E-Cutout->HighFlow Cat->Muffler

I would like to be quiet for when I'm driving through neighborhoods at 3am or hunting, but have the cutouts for when I want to give some import punk an earshot of 383. I'm just not sure how well that ECutout is going to hold up to mud and water.....or what muffler is quiet but not wimpy sounding.

My buddy has had alot of trouble with the e cutouts. One fell apart 2 months after install and the guts fell out. He got a new one but they dont like to close. They were like the $180 ones too

Never heard of any that hold up. They'd have to be stainless, and even then I imagine the surface would get rough enough to cause problems.

Edit: electric or mechanical, exhaust components rust. Stainless is the only way around that problem, especially the closer to the motor they are.

After a while just gut your cats. Cut it off your pipe then take all the screnin and honey combs out and either put anorther pipe straight through it or just weld the shell back to your pipes

I put on hooker headers..black ceramic...true dual cats...no mufflers...dumped pipes just past rear axle....sounds killer!

I had the edelbrock longtubes and 2.5 in pipes to 40 series flowmasters with turndowns after the mufflers. I think it sounded pretty damn good at high rpms.

Very end of video you can hear it.
