Tossing around the idea of running the exhaust through the hood.

PLEASE DONT ASK WHY Simply because I want to to and it would be something different. :waytogo: Not to mention I have already broken off the exhaust a few times now.

Anyone on here done this? I know it wouldn't be normal for rock crawling trucks but down here its all about the mud :woot:

I found some from DEC for like only 115-175 for both sides:thumb:

Mud boggers do it, sand draggers do it. If this is street able at all, I wouldnt. How about thru the side of the front fender, like the turbo guys do?

Dec Headers are a good quality product. Been running their headers for 6+ years on our demolition derby cars

Some truck pullers I've seen here used the center dump headers like a
67-72 GM 4x4 would use (or stock manifolds the trucks and cars that had "ram horns" manifolds)..and they put them on upside down ,so the outlet passes thru the hood holes...most of them use glass packs that bokt right to the header flange like "Purple Hornies"....I love the way they sound and the flames at night are cool...if the cops would let me get away with it,I'd do that to my truck--it'd beat replacing exhaust systems every 2-3 years!..

Depends on what you are using the truck for. Mud or offroad, yes. DD, no.

I have driven one. Friend was looking at buying it. All of the exhaust seemed to go through the front vents and into the cab. Was not drivable on the road.

Also, the risers can not be up high enough to obstruct your view.
