Experimental 1st Gen Fender

I love the first set. I was going to try it out a few years ago when I had spare fenders lying aorund, but I didnt have the patience or time.

love what your doing man, keep it up! badass:bow:

in those pics when u were flexing, what about some attention to the rear fenders. with the bigger openings in the front, the rear fenders look out of place. i know they probably dont need the extra room, but might make the truck as a whole look "smoother" maybe? just a thought.

regardless, i love 1st gens. truth be told ive only seen 1 in real life:doah: how crazy is that:eek1:

Have you pursued this experiment any further?

Not further progress being at the time they were for my rock crawler and I wasn't able to get the clearances I needed but now that I'm starting to build another blazer meant to be a driver with 37's, it might be time to take another look.

Keep us posted......I would love to run 37's in future using the same amount of lift I have now without having to cut sheetmetal!

What are you running now?

I plan on a 6" lift with my 37's but if I could get away with a 4", all the better.

I'm sitting about six in the front and seven in the back....but I'm only running Mickey Thompson MTZ's 35's on H2 rims. The MT's run small they are only about 34.5 inches. I just ordered a new set of steelies and Kert is working on some custom beadlocks to go with the new 35x12.5x17 LTB's I ordered which should be here next week!

Good to see this pop up i have had dreams of doing something similar... However the anly body work I have done is the sawsall/ big fockin' variety. I know LMC sells patch panels and such.. but you would still probably need to go the two fender route. Does anyone know if there is a fiberglass type bajaish fender for the first gens????
