I've done some searching and found that Napa part number 4138068 is an extended brake hose for our trucks. Problem is all the napa stores I call do not show that to be a valid part number. Does anyone know what the original application was for this hose? Or another part number?

i made an "L" bracket for mine. unbolted from the bracket pulled thought the frame being carefull not to bend and crease hard brake line just right under frame. the frame has a hole that a 3/8 bole will fit drill a 7/16 hole in one end and 5/8 in the other. bolt one end into the frame and put the brake hose though the other hole tighten line and install "c" clip. done

If you do wind up needing an extended brake hose, ORD makes some nice ones that are available in various lengths. Not too expensive.

I put a Earls braided brake hose on my '82 K2500 that a friend had given me,originally was bought for a '68 to '72 Nova and Chevelle,(most all GM cars and trucks of similar vintage take the same hose or at least they'll fit and work OK)...it was identical as fas as the mounting block and fittings, and it was plenty long, longer than my original that was probably 3-4" shorter at least...price was right, and my old hose was cracked and had canvas showing,so I decided not to wait till it popped to replace it..it has a swivel arrangement with a tension spring built onto it,to prevent it from twisting up too, which is a plus for long suspension travel..

When I googled the NAPA number you posted, the first post was from CK5 and there was another number next to that one, maybe a Raybestos number?..several other posts there mentioned the NAPA hose too..
