I prefer rubber brake hoses over braded steel hoses. The last time I needed a pair, I took them to a local hose shop and had them make some for me. I was relatively expensive. Now, after doing the D60 swap, I needed some new hoses again. I went to NAPA to get some new ones to take and have extended. But the counterman suggested we look in the book to see if we could find a hose with the same fittings with longer rubber hose. After about fifteen minutes we came across the perfect hose. It is for a '98 Dodge 4x4, left side, and is about 14 inches longer than the stock Chevy hose. The pair only set me back $38.00. It has some metal brackets on it which will have to be removed and then will fit great. It also has a couple rubber sleeves on it which will be great to protect the hose when I tie it to the shock. I think the part # is 380295; I will confirm the # when I get home tonight. Oh yah, the new hose comes with a new banjo bolt also (although I don't know yet if it is the right thread). I will post more pics after I install the hoses.

would these lines fit a m1008 cucv?? Obviously the d60 ends would work, but not sure about the sub end fittings. Anybody?

If you go to NAPA, or any other part store I would think, and have them look in the buyer's guide, you should be able to compare the fittings. If the threaded end on the CUCV is 3/8 x 24 (I think) then it will work.

I replaced the front brake hoses today. I was originally going to have some new hoses made but unded up getting some great help from the NAPA counterman. He found some hoses with the right fittings that were 14 inches longer than stock. These particular hoses were suppose to fit a '98 Dodge 4x4. I had to remove some bracketry. The result was two straight hoses. The hole in the frame mount had to be drilled a little then the hoses fit perfectly. After installing the hoses, I zip-tied them to the shocks (the new hoses had some rubber "insulators" on them and this is where I tied them to the shocks). There is plenty of clearence between the tires and the hoses and it looks like these hoses will work great.

Do you have pics of where they bolt to the caliper?

Thanks,
