Hey guys, been working hard on putting 3/4 ton(D44 fr/14BFF r) axles as well as a used trailmaster 6" lift kit into my '77 Blazer & am nearly to the finish line. All I need now is to install driveshafts, buy & install new shocks, and figure out longer brake lines. On the rear I just unclipped the hard lines from the axle housing & that gave me enough slack to go ahead & hook it up. On the front, they bare-assed-ly will reach the caliper & would likely pull apart if the supension moved downward 1mm. So, I was wondering what my options are for new longer lines. Oviously, cheapest option would be best, as long as it's safe.

Also, emergency brake cables. What have you guys with lifts done about those??

Thanks- John

check some of the vedors here or I got some at polyperformance. also if I were to do again I would do a center drop on the front end and T to each side

for the e-brake you should just be able to make an adjustment under the truck where the cable from inside the cab meets up with the cable going to the brakes. I know when I installed my shackle flip I didn't have to do any adjustment because of the way that lift works.

The problem with mine is that the cable that comes out of the backing plate goes up to a bracket thats on the frame. The cables won't reach the brackets. Dang, wish I could do pictures!! My digital camera got used as a baseball by one of my curtain climbers, still haven't got a new one.

for my six inch lift i just modified the brake brackets where the metal lines meet the rubber lines, just cut it halfway and twist it downward. been running my trucks like this for abou 10 years.

on my SFA s10 build i couldnt get away with it and have to have stainless steal lines made

heres a picture of my brake line bracket on my current truck, the metal line aint touching the frame it just looks that way.
