Well today was a rerun but they were doing th Fj. The did a spring over on the front so they could ceap it cheap and easy. Then on the next episode they cut the hole back half off, frame and all. And do a custom 4 link and this is a cheap build. They did a full cage and everything. One thing i thoguht was kind of cool but stupid was, instead of running an air tank they made the cage and air tank to save space(like they needed to) and to save money. with out havin to buy a tank for their arb lockers. A cheap build is a Spring Over all the way around maybe some good quality shocks and throw in some lock rites or something. Their cheap build is halfass Spring over in front $240( cause they got new springs), Custom four link in back $3000, Arb lockers $2000 and axles shafts, I think they got new seats, cut out flares, and o you cant forget the snorkel. So how is that a cheap build that everyone can do and afford?

they got you hooked on watchin the show with the front setup.

then they earned their money whoring the sponsor names IMO

it's just like all those other automotive shows. they always use words like "budget" and "affordable"...when in reality, very few of us can afford any of the stuff they claim to be budget...like high performance crate motors, custom axles, aftermarket fuel injection, custom four links, arb lockers, etc. it's easy for the people on those shows to throw around words like that...because to them, it's all affordable...they're not paying a dime for any of it.

Its like the 5.0 Mustang Horse Power did. They did a bunch of nice budget bolt ons and dynoed it. That was good, but then they threw in a new rear end and then Horse Power took it and Back halfed it and set up a 4 link. Which is something that is no longer budgeted, and requires way too much fab skills than the average joe would have. Also would that thing even be street legal anymore with such major mods to it?

Yes, perfectly street legal...but still a slug.

That show is pretty much a joke in my book. Yeah they have a budget.......An unlimited budget. I would hate to see the bill on that Suburban Gorilla.............
