I'm back! Not only back on here but now living in VA :-) and looking for another truck. @campfire it was a great adventure, pretty scary in places as the track along the mountain sides were land rover width, K5 on 35s width. I literally had the nearside tyres rubbing the rock face and offside a few inches from a shear drop …. on snow! The snow chains, though a pain to put on and off all day in minus 20c, worked brilliantly, as did the OBA system and ORO suspension and steering set up. I never did it again just because the opportunity didn't arise .
Truck ran great for years, then I got divorced, had to sell it and my Ram 1500 Daytona, both at a massive loss. The guy who bought my Blazer rolled it a year later and totalled it. Gutted!
So, if anyone knows of a solid, sensibly priced K5 (I keep seeing K5s at $20k-$30k??!!), preferably TBI, let me know! :-)
