Can you use your stock steering setup, and stock drive shaft if you move axle up 1 inch?

Yup. Everything still connects just fine, I have it on my 85 K10 with stock everything.

With everything else stock, I can't see why not. Will have to adjust your drag link, but the d shaft will have enough play. If you've already got different springs........ hard to say for sure on the shaft.

You might want to check how much available slip the d shaft has, to see if you can lose another 1". If possible check it with the passenger side drooped out as much as possible.

If you have 4" now and then want to move it forward 1" with stock shaft, i'm gona bet you'll be a bit short on the drive shaft. Seems to me, with the 4" lift you're getting pretty close to being to short already.

Alright, I'll have to unbolt the front of drive shaft to see how much spline I have left.

No real good way of estimating that. Always best to do the measurements right on the rig with things lightly assembled.

Quite possibly none.

You'd be making the drag link shorter so you should be able to tell if there is enough adjustment.

Downside, you're taking a short harsh geometry and making it shorter. I'm sure you know the cure.
