Well I finally got sick of trying to figure out all of the loose and missing wires so I decided to pick up this kit from EZ Wiring. I was a little worried about the quality since it was half the price of the Painless set-up, but it looks to be a high quality item. Every wire is marked about every 6 inches and the instructions were written pretty clearly. I will continue to post updates on the actual install with pictures if there is an interest.

Is that the engine wiring harness?

I'll be watching your thread...I gotta do this too....

Sure is, honestly a little overwhelming when you open the box. But after cutting a few zipties and looking at everything its not too bad. Comes with the headlight pigtails, alternator connector, steering column connector, and the ignition connectors. Everything else you chop out of the old setup.....if you have it......

There are a bunch of us around here who have installed that harness in our trucks. I think I was one of the first, but there are a few write ups about it. Do a quick search and they'll turn up. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Chief Brody:
Its a whole truck harness not just the engine harness. It has everything from headlight to taillight in it. But I think for your build you might want to go with the application specific Painless harness. Twice the money but it will be like a new GM harness if that matters to you. If not then by all means go Ez-Wiring. :waytogo:
