Well Tuned Port Injection is simalar to Multi Port Injection as long as it's not Cross Fire Injection!

I was thinking the kind GM used on the V-8 Camaro's in the mid/late 80's. I know the V-6 version had crossfire

Multiport is the best way to go, however a lot has to be designed into the system such as runner length and the design of the rest of the system, also it has to be matched with the cam correctly in order to take advantage of intake tuning. If it is improperly matched it will run poorly. Tbi is nice b/c it is simple and it is cheap. BTw I think that crossfire was a tbi system. The manifold runners were what overlapped butit ran like crap, my dad had it on his 84 vette.

MPI in the form of TPI for sure.............just my biased opinion of course. TBI is less expensive tho............. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I like TBI for it's simplicity, easy of tuning, and the MAP sensor as opposed to a MAF $en$or.

Good luck.

TPI with MAP is the hot ticket...............anything after 89 is MAP............. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

OK,

Can you confirm, the MAP sensor is the little sensor that gets a vacuum line, while MAF is the hot-wire in the intake air setup... correct?
