Just went out to get charge cords out of my 03 2500 8.1 suburban and found that my cats had been swiped. I just used it to tow last week. So pissed. Any one have opinions on solving this? Gonna call cops and insurance tomorrow. I still can't believe that someone is stealing cats off these trucks. They had to work to get mine. Grrrrrrrrr.

Rant over.

They are so tight in there that I figured they'd be good. I have all my vehicles plated in the mountains so I don't have sniffer tests. I looked online for shucks and grins, all the eligible part number are out of stock. Now I'm thinking about headers and a full exhaust build. I just really like how quiet it was.

Such bs, hate thieves. Sorry it happened. Maybe after headers and exhaust it will sound awesome and you wont miss the cat, though the way it happened wont be forgotten

If you want the non-cali cats find a buddy in Wyoming to drop ship too. We have had to do that at to shop on personal vehicles here to avoid the bs high cost carb legal crap.

Just be thankful you do not own a 83 Jeep 4.0 and live in Kali ! The only year Jeep did away with an EGR and used a 3 (or 4?) stage Cat instead. BIG $$$ and difficult to find.

Bite the bullet.... And let the comp insurance buy a new GM OEM system like you had...

LKQ in insurance lingo means the same as you had....not something else...

Discontinued.... Doesn't mean an estimate couldn't be written with the Mitchell crash book or dealers old price list....

Or take some newer GM parts and fabricate the exhaust system from GM's patterns...
Watched GM tech fabricate an older Corvette exhaust system with dimensions, radius..... Fit like a glove , it just fell into perfect position.

Can't make this up. Went out to get truck for a quick run to costco this morning. Smelled a light bit of raw fuel. Didn't think much about it. Got to costco and noticed the smell again. Looks like some kook drilled the tank to steal fuel. Starting to be a serious problem in the Republic of Boulder.

Fat screw and a big dab of this.
The big Rubber ring that seals my buddies filler neck to the tank on his Cordoba is submerged when it's full. It was bad and leaking. So we smeared a whole tube of this around it as a 'temporary' fix 2 years ago.
Still doesn't leak.
