I need ball joints in my 89 F-150 2wd
Just to get it out there, I am a chevy guy, I have been since I was born, but this truck used to belong to my grandpa. It has alot of sentimental value.
I also looked at a ford truck forum, but all they really had was questions about why they lacked power and got bad mileage, or how many lights they have added on. I figure you guys would know more anyways.
So how bad of a job is replacing the ball joints, or are they still kingpins (I havent looked closely at all yet. Is there a special torqueing procedure like on our old K series trucks? Or do I just pound them out and pound the new ones in?
The thing drives kinda crappy now and I plan a full suspension/steering reconditioning before long.
Thanks
