i got the idea from the cucv vehicles that have the 24 volt gauge up in the cubby hole on the pass side above the heater controls.
but the problem i found was the factory cut hole in the cucv panel is off set just a bit to close to center. so if you punch a second hole the gauge will be to close to the left side and possible rub up and not fit.
so i grabbed a peice of aluminum and fabbed up my own and recentered the 2 holes to fit correctly. then i rivited it back in just as factory would be.
i now have a nice new home for my autometer z-series vac gauge and also my b&m tranny temp gauge . both 2 1/16th gauges. also i hooked these up on a 4 wire flat trailer plug so if i need to pull the dash i can just unplug and disc the vac line and bam its out just that easy.
