Puttin together a new bumper for the front of my K5. These picks are not of the finished product, just pics I took along the way. Did all this where I work. Found ALL the metal in the scrap bin. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif Where I work, we have one of the largest powder coating booths/oven's in the area, (big enough to drive through) so when I get it done I can get it powder coated for free too. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif Just gotta decide what color. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif Any ideas? Was kinda thinkin either white or black....pretty traditional I think.
Pictures here! <----Updated pics!

Holy Sh*t that thing is going to be heavy. Is that all 1/4" wall Rectangular tubing you are using?

3/16's wall. Yeah, its heavy as $hit. Overkill to the max. But I love it. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif Since my truck sits a$$ end low, maybe this thing will level it out. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I like the design of the bumper

Yah, the design is cool. Just too much fricken steel for my tastes /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I'm still contemplating on what type of design to go with. This gives me an idea or two. Good work, keep it up and us informed.

I just weighed it. 148lbs. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I could probably build ya one if ya wanted me too. I'd have to wait for the scrap bin at work to fill back up with some useable pieces of steel, but I'm sure I could do it for ya. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif Or if ya wanted one quicker, I could put together a list of materials and find out what they would cost, and arive on a price. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif It's up to you. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
