Factory 4.10\'s in 1/2 ton rigs

I'm looking at a Blazer for sale, and the guy says they are 4.10's, but every Blazer I have parted out was either 3.73's or 3.07's.

I also have a parts truck, about a '76, and the tag on the front cover says 4.09.

I guess I need to just pull all the diff. covers and see whats stamped on the ring gear itself.

How common were factory 4.10 gears in say a 1973 K5 Blazer, or a 1976 1/2 ton truck? (both have Dan 44's and 12 bolts)

My '78 1/2 ton had 4.10s from the factory. It also came with a 6 cyl if that helps...

If memory serves me correctly, the year that they acutally made anything smaller than a v8 was the year they had taller gears than 3.73.
