How does the front shocks on the factory set up mount on the shock mount to the frame, I have a about a 1"where the bolt is to mount the top of the shock.

The factory dual shock set up uses 2 brackets at the frame - one is the typical primary triangle shaped bracket and the second kind of looks like a cobras head the is bolted/rivoted to the frame forward and higher than the primary bracket.
The secondary bracket is almost in the center of the attached pic (you can see the clean spot where the primary has been removed).

If you are replacing shocks, only run a single shock per side. The nice thing about the quad shock setup, is that you can use the factory upper auxiliary shock mount, and run a longer shock than the standard single shock.
