I only have a single steering stabilizer. Is it better to have DSS with 36 " tires?I have the extra ST,I just havn't put it on
Thats not gonna stop me from using the brackets from the other trucks and installing them on a K30. Just a matter of drilling 2 new holes and enlarging 2 thats already there.Quad shocks as they were called were options on K5, k10, light duty K20's(includes suburbans).
HD K20's(C6P option code) and K30s were never available with the quad shock option.

Nothing on my front end has ever been replaced yet.I have alittle under 70,000 orig miles, but it still feels alittle squirrely goin down the highway. It wasn't like this when I had 31" tires.I guess the extra "dampener" will help tie up some loose ends and keep me from riding out of my laneits really a steering dampener. ideally its there to help with side to side loads on the steering system. one is enough, any more then that you are covering up a problem.
if everything is new, tight, setup right and the tires are balanced you get away without one. what happens is you lift the truck, roll the pinion up for driveline angle and it throws the ackerman angle all out of whack and the front end shakes. combine that with wheels that push the tires and your scrub radius out you will chase frontend issues till you throw 2 steering stabilizers on and forget about it until they wear out.
