Factory front roll bar

I have a factory 4pt roll bar that fits just behind the seats and in front of the wheel well. It came from a 75 and has a single bolt to also mount near the seat belts on the 78. I would like to make it work with my 78 k5. The problem is the floors are a different design. Has snyone made these to work for later years?

about the only thing you can reuse is the hoop
the rear legs will need to be cut off and longer ones added to mount on top of the wheel well. Then again I think the hoop would end up too short.

The legs will need to be extended. I don't know if the extended leg will hit the wheel well. Currently the mounting points to the floor are level.
