I just started installing my new Painless (haha) wiring harness. If there's one thing that I hate doing on a truck, it's wiring. I could put in a locker in a 14BFF blindfolded, but wiring makes ripping my own fingernails off seem like fun! Anyway, I need some guidance on how to obtain factory wiring diagrams for one of my K-5's. It's an '87 Silverado. Any help would surely be appreciated. -Semper Fi, Will

What do you need I have the Helm books for our trucks (1987).

Well...to be honest, I need the whole dang truck. I reckon I should start from the firewall to the grille. Lets start w/ that and see what happens.

You would be better off just using the ones on Autozone's site. They are cleaner and easier. Let me check how many pages there is.

I have the complete 87 wiring diagrams but I haven't figured out how to get the legal size paper to scan on my normal size scanner:o. I know not much help eh?

My scanner is to small so I will count pages and go get photo copied if he wants not where my book is will count pages in morning when I go there.
No I go sleepy

go to your local libary they had my wiring diagram. It was way more detailed than any of the other ones I looked at.

OK I just checked the Helm book it is almost 60 pages. Why the different wiring if I may ask.

Yea those are pretty much same as Autozone's

I hot wired a 93 blazer using Autozones free diagrams. The wires where cut up bad too. Just set down after printing all of them and trace away. Think of wires like brake lines (it comes from one spot and connects to another) makes it easier for me.
