according to a friend you can get Torque converter's with stall speed's higher then normal if you are getting it for a v-6 engine, of course the heat would be higher so a cooler is definatly recommened, but is using a torque converter such as this bad in anyway? the performance increase is apparently insane. Any input would be fantastic thanks in advance.

the stall speed on a torque converter for a v6 is 1639, this is what i have in my truck. the highest one that the factory put in was a 1996 which was in the c91 cop cars, that is going in my s10 with 350 /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif i dont have a temp guage in my truck but the temp shouldn't be that much higher than te other, but a cooler is a good idea anyway. i wouldn't use a torque converter much higher than the v6 one unless you have a motor that needs it. and yea the performance increase is better than you would think. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
