Can anyone tell me about these shocks? The springs are factory,"I think". But I'm trying to find some information on the shocks. Truck seems to be able to run 33x12.50's with a LITTLE room to spare. I'm just THINKING about a set of 35x12.50's on the factory wheels. I know I really need A 4" lift, but I'm not really wanting to go as high as my old Blazer. Anyway here's some pics of the truck with 33x12.50's on it now. Are these old coil overs?

Thanks!

If the front springs are negative arch, they are origional. The shocks have an overload helper spring, I used to have them on my plow truck.

so those actually give a little bit of lift? how does it ride?

a buddy of mine put a set of those on his late 90s tahoe cause it had saggy butt and said they rode nice. :dunno:

Thanks for the information. And to be honest they ride good! I was surprised when I drove it. It kinda floats, but in a good way. I don't know if they have any lift or not that's what I'm trying to figure out. I'm running 33x12.50... I want to go 3" in front and throw on some 35's. But I don't want that harsh ride you always get with a lift. I know I need a 4" for 35's I just want to keep it a little lower if I can! I guess I'm getting old! Lol! Damn thing smokes some tine so I have to address that first! But, everyone I talk to says just drive it! Witch I do!

Pretty sure my buddy got his though napa. They look like old motorcycle shocks to me, lol! Interesting that they ride nice...thats the main thing i'm after these days too. Spent a lot of years in lifted trucks that ride like buck boards

It would be easy to check, just unbolt either the bottom or top shock bolt so no weight is on it and see if the ride height drops.
