factory stereos suck,why do they sound so crappy???

None of my stuff is a, "cheaper brand" and just because your speakers cost more doesn't mean they sound better.

That's got to be the biggest myth in audio.

It is generally well known that JL makes a better speaker and definantly a better woofer than a pioneer, kenwood or Alpine. Just go down to a good stereo shop with a wall of different speakers with the little lighted buttons and start pushing. I had never even heard of JL before, went down started pushing buttons and..."these sound the best." Then I said "whos JL audio, never heard of them?" to the salesmen. IIRC they were only a couple of bucks more than the other brands. Don't even let me get started on Arc Audio, they rock! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
