So how much does a factory tach and small fuel gauge go for? I went to the junkyard today and found some on a k 20...i think its a later 70's .

A pretty penny, especially if you get the whole cluster with the printed circuit on the back. I've only ever found one, and I snatched that puppy up.

Yes, go back because the printed circuit board on the back is different as well as where the fuel gauge plugs in.
If you really wanted to be complete, grab the fuse block and wiring up to the cluster. It just unbolts from the firewall.
