Curious- How common were factory vacuum gages on 69-72 pickups and Blazers? What was the thinking behind these? I have only seen these on one or two trucks. Mine has one- 1970 K/5 Blazer 350 4-speed CST

Vacuum gauge and tach dash weren't very common but there were more with the tach cluster than with the vacuum gauge.
i read in a 67-72 truck magazine that i still have that the factory tach option was only around 2% of all trucks made from 67-72 in 1/2-1ton.

it was probably swapped in from a c-50/60 truck. As far as I know the vacuum gauge wasnt offered in the light trucks
Yes they were offered in light duty trucks but very rare to find one.
