Trying to figure out how wide the factory pinstripe was on the 85-88 squares. My truck has a pinstripe painted on, but I’m wanting to see if factory reproduction vinyl pinstripe will cover it up or not before purchasing. If you have the factory pinstripe or reproduction pinstripe can you please measure?

This is the vinyl pinstripe in question. Anybody got vinyl pinstripe on their truck that can grab a quick measurement?

It's 1" wide down the side of the truck but the factory stripe tapers down as it goes down the front fender and makes the turn down towards the bumper. The stripe on the truck pictured above is either painted or aftermarket vinyl. 3m makes a similar stripe on a roll in a few different colors but it doesn't have the correct contour for the front fender. 99% of all repaints don't get the split correct on the front fenders for the factory stripe to work. Phoenix Graphics reproduces the factory stripe IIRC.

I believe lmc used to have an adhesive stencil for the front fender. They discontinued it because it was very hard to apply right. IIRC, it followed the top of the fender at the hood line, and went down the correct contour to the marker light. Phoenix graphics are 100% correct, and top-notch quality. At least the trans am and gto graphics are.

Thanks guys. I had been looking at phoenix, issue i have is the painted pinstripe on mine doesnt taper on the front fender like factory, so I would need to find one that does not match OE specs (like the photo above).
