Faded Paint

My 1970 Blazer has a faded 10 year old single stage paint job. There is a little bit of rust in the rear quarters and driver side rocker that needs repaired. I don't necessarily want to repaint the whole truck since I plan on using it as a winter driver and parking it outside. Is there any way to try and match new paint with older paint in this condition after the rust is repaired?

sure... any decent collision shop will bring up the surrounding old paint as much as it can be with a buffer... than repair/blend the panels in question...

it may, or may not be right on the money, depending on if the painter want's to play with the color a bit.. but with a decent blend, it should be very unnoticable in most cases even if the color is a tad off.....
